I Become the Tree

I stand still, unmovable on my trunk. The wind and the rain will blow away all my dead leaves.

In the cycle of the seasons, autumn is the time to make space for the new to come. It is a time to discard everything that doesn’t align with who we are today—the dead leaves, the seeds that were not fruitful, and all the garbage created around our beautiful energetic field.

I jump onto my drone, and as if on a magic carpet, I start to step back and fly further away until a full picture is delineated in my vision: a fragment of my life.

Funny how instinctively I focused for a moment on the very leaves that still need to be shed. I think these leaves, so hard to expel, are like video files on Google: completely useless, yet taking up the most space. Both fields need to be cleared up.

Finger snapping!

My camera eyes move toward all the seeds I planted a year ago that have come to fruition. And…

These are the seeds that make me who I am today, where I live, and the life I am living now:

My gratefulness is total.

I Am the Farmer

Yes, I am the farmer of my life. Just like farmers during the Equinox, I celebrate the abundance of the harvest I have received from the seeds I planted, and from the Universe.

After the celebration, I will clear and clean the crop to make it pure, and I will clear and clean the storage rooms where I will preserve it to use it at its best.

We are called to use DISCERNMENT between what will stay and what will go, what nourishes us and what depletes us.

From the very deepest corner of my heart reverberates a light, brighter because my gratitude is incommensurable.

I am so grateful for my journey so far and the many lessons learned, and I am grateful to be able to see a brighter future.

Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chakras, and Yin Yoga for the Equinox

  • TCM Element: Metal

  • Organs in the Body: Lungs and Large Intestine

  • Chakras: The Heart Chakra (Anahata), but also the Root Chakra (Muladhara).

A Short Yin and Somatic Yoga Video

For the occasion, I created this short mini-video with 2 main Yin Yoga poses to support and balance the Metal element, as well as open the Heart and Root Chakras.

  1. Legs-Up-the-Wall – Viparita Karani

  2. Bridge Pose – Setu Bandha Sarvangasana

Take your time to find a nice, quiet space (this can even be your bedroom and your bed) and practice this short sequence either before sleep and/or just after waking up.

10 to 15 minutes is all you need.

Enjoy!!!
